Digital Smile Design in Dubai

Digitized Dentistry

Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a treatment planning protocol that allows for careful analysis of the patient’s facial and dental structures through state-of-the-art videography and digital technology. The DSD Concept is considered the most modern, patient-centered design approach available that combines dentistry, aesthetics, and technology.

DSD represents the future of aesthetic dentistry, where every smile is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, leveraging the latest technological advancements to achieve unparalleled results. MyoSmile is proud to be a DSD partner.

DSD Process

We combine layers of clinical photos and videos, iTero scans (digital impressions), CBCT scans, and 3D technology to create a digital version of you. The DSD protocol analyzes your facial structure, teeth, gums, lips, and bilateral symmetry to design a smile suited to your face. Your ideal smile is created virtually so we can print a 3D model of it for you to test drive before treatment. This step lets you see and feel your new smile so you can visualize and customize the final results.

Finally, we use a combination of dental procedures such as implants, orthodontics, and dental veneers (varies by patient) to bring your new smile to life.

Benefits of DSD

Improved Collaboration and Communication

Patients can provide input, express their preferences, and visualize potential outcomes before starting treatment. This collaborative approach improves communication between patients and dentists, ensuring that expectations are aligned and confidence is restored in the treatment plan.

Personalized Treatment Planning

DSD allows for precise customization of treatment plans based on each patient’s unique facial features, dental characteristics, and aesthetic goals. Dentists can analyze digital images, assess smile proportions, and create a comprehensive plan tailored to the individual’s needs. This personalized approach helps achieve natural-looking and harmonious smile transformations.

Visualized Results

DSD utilizes advanced imaging and simulation software to create digital models and simulate the potential outcomes of smile designs. Patients can see a visual representation of how their new smile will look, allowing them to make informed decisions and provide feedback. This visualized result helps manage expectations, build confidence, and ensure desired outcomes.

Predictable Outcomes

By leveraging digital tools and technologies, DSD offers greater predictability in treatment outcomes. Dentists can analyze and plan each step of the treatment process with accuracy, reducing the likelihood of unexpected results. This predictability leads to more successful and reliable smile transformations.

Efficient Treatments

DSD optimizes the treatment process by streamlining various stages. Digital tools such as intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM technology eliminate the need for traditional impressions and enable faster and more precise treatment planning. Additionally, digital communication with lur in-house dental lab enhances the efficiency of fabricating dental restorations, reducing treatment timelines.

Comprehensive Approach

DSD goes beyond just improving the aesthetics of the smile. It considers the overall facial harmony, tooth function, and oral health. Dentists assess factors such as bite alignment, occlusion, and gum health, ensuring that the smile transformation is both visually pleasing and functionally beneficial.

iTero Scanner

With the iTero Scanner, we're able to obtain digital impressions to track tooth wear, gum recessions, bite unbalances and any orthodontic discrepancies that will cause early tooth aging. Patients can see their simulations right when they're sitting on the chair and understand how adjusting their bite will help their function and aesthetics on a holistic level.

3D Cone Beam CT Scan

With CBCT technology, we're capable of detecting any pathology in the hard tissues of the head and neck and analyze patient's sinuses, airway, TMJ and periodontal health. The cone beam technology also can detect failing root canals or any possible fractures in the tooth structure that's hard to diagnose otherwise.

Smile Makeover in Dubai

with Digital Smile Design (DSD)

1

Photography

The first step in the process is to take photographs of the patient’s face, including close-ups of the teeth. In order to get an accurate representation of your teeth and gums, it’s important to take a photograph of your smile from different angles. It involves taking pictures of your teeth and gums from the front, sides, and top. This process is important in order to create a beautiful and natural-looking smile.
2

3D Models

Once the photos are taken, these are then used to create a 3D model of the patient’s smile. The photos are imported into special software where they are converted into a three-dimensional (3D) model. The model is used to plan the ideal smile for the patient.
3

The Design Process

The next step is to use the software to create a digital representation of the patient’s ideal smile. This is done by making adjustments to the 3D model, such as changing the shape and size of the teeth. Once the digital smile design is complete, it can be used to create a physical model of the patient’s ideal smile. This is done by using a 3D printer to print out a replica of the digital design.
4

Implementation

Once the design is completed, it is then used to create a treatment plan that is tailored to the patient’s individual needs. As soon as the treatment plan is finalized, the next step is to implement it. This usually involves the use of porcelain veneers, dental implants, or other esthetic dental procedures.
5

Finishing

Once the model is complete, the patient will try on their new teeth to make sure they are comfortable and look natural. The final step is to bond the new teeth to the patient’s existing teeth.
6

Maintenance

Once the DSD treatment is completed, periodic maintenance is necessary to sustain the results. Schedule regular checkups. In order to maintain optimal oral health, it is important to visit the dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and examination.
