Our experienced Oral Surgeon in Dubai places a strong emphasis on personalized and ethical care. He takes the time to thoroughly assess each patient’s unique needs and medical history, tailoring the extraction approach to optimize outcomes. This individualized attention helps in addressing specific concerns and alleviating anxiety, making the overall experience more positive and reassuring.
The extraction process begins with a thorough examination and X-rays to assess the tooth’s condition and the surrounding bone structure. Local anesthesia is administered to numb the area, ensuring the patient feels minimal discomfort during the procedure. In a simple extraction, the surgeon uses specialized instruments to loosen the tooth and carefully remove it from the socket. However, in more complex cases, such as wisdom tooth removal, a surgical extraction may be necessary, which involves making an incision in the gum tissue to access and remove the tooth.
In some cases, the oral surgeon may also place a dental bone graft, which helps prevent bone loss in your jaw or prep the area for a potential implant. Finally, stitches may be placed to help promote healing.
Dental treatments have been continuously evolving and improving to best suit patient needs with great comfort and fewer complications. The newest technology in dentistry is the Piezosonic which is being offered at MyoSmile Polyclinic.
Piezosonic is an ultrasound device that creates micro-vibrations to cut only the bone avoiding damage to soft tissues such as the gums, sinus membranes, and nerves.
The Piezo extraction technique is a more conservative approach to tooth extractions and can offer our patients a much more comfortable experience with excellent post-procedure outcomes.
Tooth extractions are sometimes necessary to prevent further complications and restore your oral health. There are several reasons why our Dubai Oral Surgeon may want to extract teeth as part of your personalized treatment plan, such as:
While the thought of undergoing a tooth extraction may be painful, the result will help reduce pain over time and resolve the underlying issue. If you’re experiencing any of the above dental problems, don’t wait to schedule an appointment with Dr. Mayyas. He’ll evaluate your oral health and determine the best course of action to alleviate your painful symptoms and prevent further complications.
Dr. T used highly equipped and advanced techniques, which I had never seen before in Dubai! Prior to my first visit to Dr. T, I had heard from friends about his amazing natural work with veneers. He was honest and transparent about my options, and despite my interest in veneers, he suggested smaller changes that could improve my smile.
I cannot recommend Dr. Tarek highly enough. He has a wonderfully calm demeanor and an incredibly light touch, making dental visits anxiety-free. Dr. Tarek uses the latest technology, ensuring that every procedure is both comfortable and effective. Beyond his professional excellence, he has become more than just a dentist to our family; he is a trusted healthcare partner. If you’re in search of a dentist who truly cares and delivers outstanding results, Dr. Tarek is the one to see.
I have been a regular patient at MyoSmile Dental Clinic for some time now, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and kindness. Dr. Tahereh and her team are incredibly meticulous and detailed in their work, especially when it comes to my dental veneers. I was not expecting such a perfect result, but they truly exceeded my expectations. I am incredibly grateful for the care and attention to detail that Dr. Tahereh and her team put into their work. The end result is flawless, and I couldn't be happier with my new smile.
I visited Dr Tarek today with my 3 kids, Dr Tarek was very professional and took the time to explain to the kids the procedures and what he was doing. He had a camera showing all the teeth inside the mouth and that was a great hit for the kids! They had the chance to see their teeth from the inside! The kids were well relaxed and they had a very pleasant experience. As for the clinic it is beyond expectations its well equipped with the latest very advanced equipment. I can say going to a dentist its not a nightmare anymore, but rather a pleasant outing
The surrounding gum tissue can become inflamed, leading to pain and potential infections.
Impacted teeth can be hard to clean, making them susceptible to cavities and decay.
Inflammation and infections from the impacted tooth can cause noticeable swelling on the face.
Over time, the area around the impacted tooth can become a hotspot for bacterial growth, leading to infections.
In some cases, cysts can form around the impacted tooth, which can damage the jawbone and surrounding teeth.
An impacted wisdom tooth can push neighboring teeth out of position, leading to misalignment.
It’s crucial to recognize these potential complications early on. At MyoSmile Polyclinic, we conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify the risks and provide effective solutions. Don’t wait for the pain; proactive care can save you from major dental troubles down the line.
Simple extractions, also known as general extractions, are the most common tooth removal method. Dr. Mayyas will elect for a simple extraction procedure for teeth that have emerged from the gums. Our dentist will administer a local anesthetic before gently removing the targeted tooth. Because the tooth has breached the gum line, it won’t require incisions. After removing the tooth, Dr. Mayyas will apply gauze and stitches if necessary to begin the healing process. Patients typically heal from this extraction method after 48 to 72 hours.
Surgical extractions are more complex than simple extractions, as they’re for impacted teeth that haven’t breached the gum line. After administering a local anesthetic, Dr. Mayyas will make a small incision to access and remove the targeted tooth. He’ll then apply gauze and stitches to promote proper healing, which typically takes 72 hours.
Millions of people each year have one or more wisdom teeth removed due to overcrowding, pain or an infection, and impaction. Also known as your third set of molars, wisdom teeth often present painful symptoms or complications when they grow in, as there’s no room for them to emerge. Dentists recommend removing your wisdom teeth in your late teens or early twenties. Wisdom teeth extraction can be either a simple or surgical procedure depending on the severity of your case. However, some patients may not need to have them removed. Dr. Mayyas will determine the best course of action at your initial consultation.
